Monster Code Corporation (“Monster”) respects the privacy of the personal information you may provide us via the website located at (the “Website”) for purposes of using the services Monster provides (the “Services”). This privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) describes how Monster collects, uses, manipulates, stores, destroys, and discloses information in connection with our Website. It also describes the choices available to you regarding the use of, your access to, and how to update and correct your personal information.


Information You Provide to Us

Monster collects information about you through our Website in several ways when you use Monster’s Services. This information may include your name and contact information, such as address, telephone number, e-mail addresses.

“Personal Information”: Includes any information related to an identified or identifiable person, especially by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, e-mail address, company address or phone number, or other factors specific to a person’s identity. We collect only the information necessary to fulfill our lawful business interest in fulfilling the Services and keep your information only as long as is necessary to fulfill those interests.

Non-Identifying Information/Usernames: Monster also may collect other information, such as zip codes, demographic data, information regarding your use of the Services, and general project-related data (“Non-Identifying Information”). We may aggregate information collected from Monster users (“Monster Users”). We consider usernames to be Non-Identifying information.

Combination of Personal and Non-Identifying Information: Certain Non-Identifying Information would be considered a part of your Personal Information if it were combined with other identifiers in a way that enables you to be identified (for example, combining information with your name). But the same pieces of information are considered Non-Identifying Information when they are taken alone or combined only with other Non-Identifying Information (for example, your viewing preferences). We may combine your Personal Information with Non-Identifying Information, in which case Monster will treat the combined information as Personal Information.

General Audience Services: The Services are intended for a general audience and for users eighteen (18) years and older. Monster does not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone younger than age eighteen (18). If we become aware that a child younger than eighteen (18) has provided us with Personal Information, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information from our files. Monster Users do not have any statutory obligation to provide Monster with any information, but you do have a contractual obligation to do so, and if we do not receive certain information from you, then Monster will not be able to provide our Services to you. Information about Monster Users

We collect various types of Personal Information about Monster’s Users of the Website including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Personal (CV) data of job candidates (name, address, telephone number, personal and business e-mail addresses, pictures, date and place of birth, etc.)

  • Personal data of contractors/private entrepreneurs

  • Personal and business e-mail addresses of Monster newsletter subscribers

  • Business title of Monster newsletter subscribers

  • The name and location of organizations at which Monster’s data subjects work or have worked and respective job titles

  • Personal data in databases provided by contracting parties for IT development or testing purposes

  • Personal data of contact persons of contracting parties

  • Personal data of employees (salary, health data, etc.)

Information Received from Third Parties

Monster may also receive information about you from third parties such as business partners that provide job postings, job application services, staffing or related services to job seekers.  For example, we may supplement the information we collect with outside records or third parties may provide information in connection with an agreement or at your request (for example, if you choose to sign in with a third-party job application site or other service provider). If we combine the information we receive from any third parties with information Monster collects through the Services, Monster will treat that combined information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Social Media Information

You may choose to log in to the Website using a third-party social media service, such as LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter. If you do so, Monster may collect Personal Information from the social media provider, including, for example, your username, e-mail address and available profile information, such as your public profile URL, profile photo, connections, industry and location, as well as other information associated with your social media account. Monster will ask for your consent prior to your logging in to the Website using your social media account or connecting your social media account to the Website. If you provide such consent, you represent and warrant that you satisfy the terms regarding accounts and have the authority to provide us with information about your social media connections.


From time to time, Monster may ask our Monster Users to participate in surveys. Such surveys may be used to collect Personal Information. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary. Declining to participate will not impact your use of the Website or any of our Services.

Information Collected Automatically through the Website

Monster and our third-party service providers may collect certain information from you automatically whenever you access or interact with the Services through the Website. This may include, among other information, information such as your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address and domain name, the browser and operating system you are using, your location as inferred from your IP address, your Internet service provider, the date and time of your visit to the Website, your use of the Website during your current session and over time (including the pages you view and the search terms you use to navigate the Website), the URLs from the websites you visit before and after navigating to the Website, your computer’s or mobile device’s operating system and browser type, and other information commonly shared when browsers communicate with websites.

We may combine this automatically collected information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve the Services we offer you, and to improve marketing, analytics and Website functionality.

The information we collect also includes other unique device identifiers (“Device Identifier”) for any device (computer, mobile phone, tablet, etc.) used to access the Services. A Device Identifier is a number that is automatically assigned or connected to the device you use to access the Services, and our servers identify your device by its Device Identifier. Some mobile services providers may also provide us or our third-party service providers with information regarding the physical location of the device used to access our Services.

Monster and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer the Website, tracker Monster Users’ movement around the Website and to gather demographic information about our Monster User base as a whole. The technology used to collect information automatically from Monster Users may include the following:

Monster uses information collecting through the Services to provide and improve the Services Monster provides, to process Monster Users’ requests, prevent fraud, provide Monster Users with information and advertising that may be of interest, to comply with the law and as otherwise permitted with Monster Users’ explicit consent.

Monster uses information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve the Services.

  • Contact you with administrative communications and Monster newsletters, marketing or promotional materials (on behalf of Monster or third parties) and other information that may be of interest to you.

  • Tailor content we display to you and offers we may present to you, both on the Website and elsewhere online.

  • Administer and develop our business relationship with you and, if applicable, the corporation or other legal entity you represent.

  • Enforce and comply with the law, including to conduct an investigation, to protect the property and rights of Monster or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, fraudulent, unethical or legally actionable activity. We may also use Device Identifiers to identify Monster Users.

Personal Information: We use the Personal Information that we collect about Monster Users for the following purposes:

  • To Honor Our Contractual Commitments. Much of the processing of Personal Information done by Monster is to comply with Monster’s contractual obligations to our business partners, investors, or to take steps at Monster Users’ request in anticipation of entering into a contract with such Users.

  • For Monster’s Legitimate Interests. In many cases, Monster handles Personal Information on the grounds that it furthers Monster’s legitimate interests in commercial activities, including primarily staff augmentation services Monster provides. Monster may also share such Personal Information of job candidates with third parties for the purpose of providing the staff augmentation services referenced herein.

  • To Comply with Legal Obligations. Monster may need to use and disclose Personal Information in certain ways to comply with Monster’s legal obligations.

If you no longer wish to receive promotional e-mails from Monster, you can follow the instructions; send an email to to unsubscribe or opt out, and Monster will take commercially reasonable steps to promptly update your preferences in our system.


Unless you request that Monster delete certain information, we retain the information we collect from our Website for at least 5 years. Your information may persist in copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for additional time. If you choose to provide us with Personal Information, we encourage you to routinely update the data to ensure that we have accurate and up-to-date information about you.


The collection of Personal Information by Monster is only done via our Website for purposes of responding to Monster Users’ inquiries regarding the Services. The Personal Information is not shared with any third parties for any commercial or marketing purposes without first providing Monster Users with the opportunity to opt-in to or opt-out of such sharing. Personal Information may only be shared with third-party service providers for Monster’s internal business purposes.

Legal Purposes. Monster may also use or share your information, including Personal Information, with third parties when we believe, in our sole discretion, that doing so is necessary:

  • to comply with applicable law or a court order, subpoena, request from government or law enforcement, or other legal process;

  • to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, violations of our terms and conditions or situations involving threats to our property or the property or physical safety of any person or third party;

  • to establish, protect or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or

  • to facilitate the financing, securitization, insuring, merger, acquisition, sale, assignment, bankruptcy or other disposal of all or part of Monster’s business or assets. In the event of an actual sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event relating to all or a portion of Monster’s business or assets, your information, including Personal Information, may be part of the transferred assets.

De-identified or Aggregated Information. Monster may also compile and share de-identified or aggregated information about users of Monster’s Website, such as by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the Website or sharing aggregated information about historical and real-time trends in our industry or related industries. We may also share de-identified or aggregated information about the numbers, types or origins of users who submit job applications on the sites of our business partners or who click on business partners’ links on the Website (such as a blog post or news article).

Internal and Business Transfers. Monster may share information, including Personal Information, with its sister company located in Hungary, Monster Code kft., and any current or future subsidiaries or affiliates, primarily for business and operational purposes. Monster may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of Monster’s assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets (including, in each case, as part of the due-diligence process with any potential acquiring entity) or in the event of bankruptcy.


Monster may work with third-party advertising agencies and vendors who use technology to help Monster understand how people use our Website. These vendors may use technologies to serve you advertisements that may interest you. You can choose to opt-out of receiving interest-based advertising.

Monster works with (or may in the future work with) certain third parties to collect information and use it to engage in analytics, auditing, research and reporting in order to provide Monster with information regarding traffic of the Services used, including pages viewed and the actions taken when visiting our Website; to serve our advertisements on other websites, within mobile apps and elsewhere online; and to provide Monster with information regarding the use of the Services and the effectiveness of Monster’s advertisements.  

The Website may also enable third-party tracking mechanisms to collect information about your use of the Services or the Website to help target advertisements unrelated to Monster based on your online behavior in general. Monster does not monitor the behavior of individuals in the European Union through any tracking technologies or otherwise.

The use of online tracking mechanisms by third parties is subject to those third parties’ own privacy policies, and not this Privacy Policy. If you prefer to prevent third parties from setting and accessing cookies on your computer, you may set your browser to block cookies. Additionally, you may remove yourself from the targeted advertising of companies within the Network Advertising Initiative by opting out here, or of companies participating in the Digital Advertising Alliance program by opting out here. Our website currently does not respond to “do not track” browser headers, but you can limit the effects of some tracking by taking the steps above.


Monster takes a number of steps to protect your data, but no security is guaranteed.

Monster uses commercially reasonable steps to help protect and secure the information it collects and stores about Monster Users, including physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information against loss or unauthorized access, use, modification or deletion. However, no security program is one hundred percent (100%) secure. Thus, while Monster will strive to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee and do not warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit to Monster.


You have the following choices with respect to your Personal Information collected or stored by Monster:

  • The right to access your Personal Information.

  • The right to update your Personal Information by emailing Monster at, where appropriate, amending the personal details contained in your registered account with us. If practically possible, we will make corrections (where appropriate) based on your updated information.

  • The right to withdraw your consent, or to data portability, with respect to data that is collected on the basis of your consent.

  • The right to request erasure of your data or object to its processing.

  • The right to lodge a complaint with Monster or, as applicable, with the appropriate Supervisory Authority (as defined by the GDPR).

Because Monster is a U.S. company, we process and store your information in the United States and our service providers may process and store it elsewhere.

The information that Monster collects through or in connection with the Website is transferred to and processed in the United States for the purposes described above. Monster also may subcontract the processing of your data to, or otherwise share your data with, affiliates or third parties in the United States or countries other than your country of residence.
